Future is closer than you think - It's about Leadership in Digital Age

Last one week, i have been in Oslo, Norway attending the annual meeting of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF) .

I spoke on four global panels at IGF, yet the moment that truly jolted the room—and me—was chairing the high-level Expert Panel on "Sustainable Leadership in the Digital Age: Shaping the Future of Business." The verdict was loud and clear: leaders who are still "waiting and watching" are quietly writing themselves out of tomorrow's market.

Global forums like these aren't just conferences; they're shock absorbers and crystal balls rolled into one. You glimpse next year's playbook before your competitors have even heard the whistle. In an era when a single algorithm upgrade can redraw an industry overnight, that early sight is priceless.

I wish every senior decision-maker would schedule a "Discovery Break", —just few days a year—to immerse themselves in these conversations- (as i mentioned in my book 'Your Degree is Not Enough'). Yes, extended gatherings look expensive, but the invoice for strategic blindness is far steeper.

Take the Internet Governance Forum, the policy cockpit designing "the Internet We Want." I'm privileged to chair three of its dynamic coalitions—Digital Economy, Digital Health, and Environment—and the leaders who spend a few days with us return home armed with implementation-ready blueprints. They arrive curious and leave commissioned: turning broadband into jobs, dashboards into healthier citizens, and green code into measurable emissions cuts.

A call to every doctor and health-care leader

Back home in India, I'm harnessing that same global firepower to help the health sector leap-frog into the digital era. From 19–21 September 2025, the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, we will host the Global Digital Health Summit—the forum now setting the international agenda for health-tech.

If you hold a stethoscope, run a hospital, steer a start-up or shape policy, this is your 'Discovery Break'. Three days among ministers, tech- pioneers and clinician-founders will show you exactly digital tools are already delivering better care —and how to deploy them in your own practice or organization. Every attendee will become a level -2 Certified in Digital Health, and that's a guarantee!

Skip this, and you'll read about the breakthroughs in a journal long after they've become your competitors' standard of care. Attend, and you'll carry home the playbook—and the partnerships—to redefine how the world, delivers health.

Innovation rarely knocks twice, and it certainly doesn't wait for a board meeting. Step off the fence and into the room, because the future of medicine will be networking in Mumbai without you.

Anyone on stage is a leader who has transformed or influenced global healthcare transformation or has the capacity to transform global health. I have ensured a very strict criteria for the summit and no one can pay and get a seat on the dais of www.globalsummit.health. One has to pass the muster for being the global influencer. As we announce the rest of the speakers over the next few weeks, you will see that those who have the power to transform healthcare will be at the the Global Digital Health Summit, Expo & Innovation Awards . We will discuss what is coming, and how you can prepare for it. This time, we have ensured that 25% of the entire panel discussion is kept reserved for you to interact directly with these leaders.

2 | "We are getting the future closer—to you"

GDHS functions as a living preview of the future-era care: walk the exhibition or join a lab-style master-class and tomorrow's workflow becomes today's hands-on experience—tech, policy and clinical adoption in one place.

3 | Staying employable in the age of algorithms

We are discussing the topics that the typical conferences are shy to address, and they try to be diplomatic and show a goody-goody picture. I bet, we will discuss whether you will be in the job in the next 3 years, and if your job is under threat, what is the best you can do to stay relevant. We have to get you solutions. Remember, i also run the world's largest digital health upskilling institution Academy of Digital Health Sciences , it is our duty to prepare the future ready workforce, and you will witness live demo of what you can start implementing in your practice / company immediately.

4 | From white coat to cap-table

A "Clinician-to-Founder": The panel discussion on start-ups will go beyond the discussions on what makes an entrepreneur. Last year, an investor from #Singapore , who attended the summit, told me that he identified five entrepreneurs from our summit to consider investing. This year, i plan to create at between 50-100 such business- investment opportunities. So, come prepared with your presentations to meet such investors, and don't forget to carry your laptop or iPad to show your deck to an investor sitting next to you!

5 | Networking by design, not chance

Last year, by numbers , the www.globalsummit.health become the biggest healthcare summit in the region. This year we had an option to grow the summit to accommodate as many delegates as possible, but we had to cap the audience on the advice of our board , and we plan to close our registrations in August or as soon as the slots are full. As an attendee at the GDHS, expect to forge a minimum of 100 purposeful new contacts —enough to seed collaborations that survive long after Mumbai. It is interesting to see how the attendees of the summit are financially benefiting- one attendee told me that he made 300,000 due to one lecture he attended! One technology official informed that the major program of the National Health Authority (NHA) was ideated at the GDHS in 2023.

6 | Why seats disappear months ahead

Search any engine—even ChatGPT—for "largest digital-health summit" in India and Global Digital Health Summit tops the list. Limited passes and an uncompromising speaker bar explain the yearly sell-out; those who hesitate watch it unfold on social media once the sold-out banner drops.

7 | Sam Altman's call to ambition

GDHS posted a 45-second video of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stating, "Surround yourself with people who make you more ambitious and help you to shift your perspective." GDHS delivers exactly that environment—three days alongside the minds building new healthcare models, disruptive products and innovative care models, and funding the frontline care. See the clip on the summit's LinkedIn feed, then join the room where ambition is contagious and the future arrives early.

8 | Investment that guarantees depth

Our previous years experience shows us that delegates come from all over the globe and invest about US $10 000+ to attend this summit, because we invest in each session more resources than many two-day conferences spend overall. The result is rigorously moderated, no-fluff sessions backed by knowledge , networking, collaboration and investment opportunities. This year , our ticket price has already crossed INR 65000.00 for delegates. Nearer to the summit, this will go up as we are investing massively in the summit, and direct and indirect investment in the summit this year will cross INR 12,00,00,000.00. Cost of hosting each delegate is in multiples of the current registration fee. Please block your seat before the rates go up.

Register soon, and step into a community that refuses to wait for change—it builds it.

This summit is curated only for #Csuite #Leaders #Kols #top #clinicians who are interesting in retaining their respect and status in the field, and continue to guide the next generation of leaders. Companies which have a product ready for adoption at scale exhibit at the expo.

Please note : Start-ups in 'idea stage' need not apply for the booth - we only allow companies with a commercially deployable digital health product or service to exhibit. Also, we are out of seats for students.

If you have registered, i am looking forward to meeting you in Mumbai from 19th-21st September.
